Graham Greene - Shades of Greene

I vaguely remember reading "The Destructors" at school and it not making a particularly deep impression on me. But I guess at that age there are a lot of things that don´t impress like one´s own personal (supposed) tragedies and victories.

When this particular short story featured in "Donnie Darko" and it turned out to partly be the cause for his choice method of vandalism it tweaked my interest and I eventually got my hands on this volume, which also includes the story.

The collection of short stories is a pleasant mix of brief observational anecdote and the more classic plot-driven narrative.
